D+ GP 1000 ( Tile Adhesive )

D+ GP 1000 is a rigid set, high quality cement-based adhesive suitable for most types of vitrifiled, ceramic, wall and floor tiles including natural of regular size. D+ GP 1000 is also suitable for renovation of interior floor and walls.

Surface Preparation : All surface must be clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, wax, oil, laitance curing compounds and all other contaminats likely to prevent the adhesive bonding. Concrete should be allowed to cure for at least 28 days and cement to render for 7 days prior to tiling.
Mixing : 20 kg D+ GP 1000 powder requires approximately 5 to 5.5 ltr of water per bag. Add premeasured water to a clean mixing container and sprinkle D+ GP 1000 powder slowly into the liquid with constant stirring. Eliminate lumps. Mix to a thick toothpaste consistency. Allow to stand for two minutes. Then remix. The adhesive is now ready to use.
Application Procedure : Apply the mixed adhesive to the prepared substrate using the appropriate notched trowel for the size of the tile being laid. A minimum of 3mm bed thickness for walls and floors must be achieved. Ensure the bedded tiles are fully supported by the adhesive with no voids underneath or behind. Lay tiles into the adhesive before it skins. The adhesive may also need to be applied to the back of the tiles to accommodate the required levels. Do not disturb tiles until the adhesive has dried. Commence grouting after 24 hours when tilework is firm.
Coverage : Approx 55-60SQ.ft per 20 kg Bag using ¼’’X ¼’’ (6mmX6mm) Notch Trowel for a bed of 3mm.
